Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Salí, a personal-safety app operated by Deko Gonzalez. By creating an account or using Salí, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Who can use Salí

You must be at least 13 years old to use Salí. Family features such as Salimos are intended to be set up and supervised by a parent or guardian. By using Salí you confirm you meet these requirements and that any information you provide is accurate.

2. What Salí does

Salí lets you create circles of trusted contacts, start watch-me ("Cuídame") sessions, organize supervised group outings ("Salimos"), mark safe zones, share your live location with your circle, and send an SOS alert to your circle. These features depend on your device, your internet or cellular connection, and the devices of your contacts. Salí cannot control those conditions and does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

3. Your account and responsibilities

• Keep your account credentials secure and don't share them.
• Provide accurate information, and keep your contacts and circles up to date.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• Only add people to a circle who have agreed to be included, and only share another person's contact details with their permission.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Salí to:

• Track, monitor, stalk, harass, or surveil anyone without their knowledge and consent.
• Send false alarms or misuse the SOS feature.
• Violate any law or anyone else's rights.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.

Location sharing is meant to be mutual and consensual. Misuse of Salí to monitor a person without consent is strictly prohibited and may be unlawful.

5. Text messages (SMS)

By providing a mobile number and enabling a feature that uses text messaging, you consent to receive SMS messages from Salí related to safety — including check-in, session, and SOS notifications. Message frequency varies based on activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe (note: stopping messages may disable safety alerts) and HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Location and data

Using Salí's location features requires you to grant location permissions and to consent to sharing your location with your circle during active sessions. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

7. Availability and no guarantee

We work hard to keep Salí reliable, but we do not promise that the service, alerts, notifications, or location updates will always be available, timely, accurate, or delivered. Service may be interrupted by factors outside our control, including network outages, device settings, or third-party providers.

8. Disclaimers

Salí is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. You use Salí at your own risk and remain responsible for your own safety decisions.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deko Gonzalez and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any harm, loss, or injury arising from your use of — or inability to use — Salí, including any failure or delay of an alert, message, or location update. Salí is a tool to help, not a guarantee of safety or rescue.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless Deko Gonzalez from claims arising out of your misuse of Salí or your violation of these Terms or others' rights.

11. Termination

You may stop using Salí and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the service.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Salí after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
